Campus Newsletter - Parent/Student

October 26, 2026

It's ALWAYS a great day to be a CHAMPION CHARGER!

Welcome to the twelfth week of the 2026–2027 academic year at Samuel V. Champion High School!
“School spirit shines brightest on homecoming night.”

This week is Homecoming for CHS and the students and staff are excited about the themes for each day and the spirit that the campus ignites as we celebrate this week.
Monday night begins the week with the Homecoming Parade and Pep Rally.  We look forward to seeing our Boerne Community come out and support our Chargers!
The students have worked on floats for weeks to highlight different sports, clubs and groups on campus.  They will be a sight to see.
Our week ended with the Chargers truly showing their fighting spirit.  Water Polo is the State Runner Up for the 2026 season, Band took 5th place in Area Competition, Volleyball ended the week as District Champions, and Football is going into their last week in season competition and ready for Playoffs!
Our Cross Country Boys & Girls will be competing in Corpus on Tuesday, October 27th @ 7:30 a.m.
We wish them the best of luck.
We couldn’t be more proud of ALL OF THEM, from the coaches to the players
and to our amazing student groups, campus staff and families that come to support each and every event.  Our student section received another compliment this weekend
for their presence at events, and their respectfulness from the UIL.
They represent BISD, the Champion Way, very well.
Thank you to our Champion Charms for hosting our Homecoming Dance this past weekend.
The students enjoyed time together and enjoyed the night.

As always, thank you for trusting us with your children!  They make us PROUD everyday.

Home of the Chargers ~ Heart of a Champion!  Go Chargers!  MAKE AN IMPACT!

CHAMPION THEATER ~ by Mr. Aviles

Over the past weekend, audiences were treated to four spellbinding performances, showcasing the incredible talent and dedication of our students. Additionally, two special in-school performances allowed fellow students to experience the magic of live theatre, reminding everyone that Shakespeare's work continues to resonate across generations.

Champion Theatre brought the timeless tragedy of "Hamlet" to life through two distinct casts, each bringing their own interpretation and energy to the stage. This dual-cast approach not only showcased the depth of our student talent but also offered audiences the chance to see different perspectives on the classic tale of intrigue and revenge. Both casts delivered breathtaking performances, captivating everyone with their powerful portrayals and the emotional complexity of their characters.

Congratulations are in order for everyone involved—from the actors who embodied their roles with passion and precision to the behind-the-scenes crew whose hard work ensured each show was seamless. The set design, costumes, and lighting all contributed to an immersive experience that transported audiences to the heart of Elsinore Castle. This remarkable production of "Hamlet" is a testament to the creativity, commitment, and collaboration of our entire school community. Bravo to all who made this theatrical journey a resounding success!
