Welcome to the eleventh week of the 2026–2027 academic year at Samuel V. Champion High School!
Our teachers and staff have been working diligently to motivate and give daily encouragement and confidence boosters to our students. Some of the phrases you will hear as you enter classrooms are:
- "I believe in you—today and every single day."
- "You can do hard things."
- "Your effort matters so much more than perfection."
- "You bring such a bright and positive energy to our classroom."
- "I am so proud of how hard you tried today."
- "Keep going—you are on the right track!"
- "Your ideas and voice matter at CHS."
- "Take a deep breath, you've prepared for this, and you've got this!"
- "Trust yourself and your hard work, I am here for you!”
- "Do your best, and remember that one test doesn't define how smart you are."
The wonderful notes parents and students have left for the teachers and staff through the
“Champion for Students” nominations have truly touched them and they are reminded of their IMPACT at CHS. We are thankful for our community for taking the time to let them and us know how they make their students' days here at Champion special. Thank you, and please continue to share. We take the time to read these to our staff during our staff meetings and they truly are inspiring and renew their love for the classroom and for our campus. Knowing they have made one student, parent, know how important they are in some way, is tremendous.
Thank you for trusting us with your children! They make us PROUD everyday.
Home of the Chargers ~ Heart of a Champion! Go Chargers! MAKE AN IMPACT!

BISD Architecture students recently had the distinct honor of participating in the Texas Society of Architects Convention, where they joined select peers from across the state—including Houston, Austin, Dallas and Laredo—in an intensive design challenge known as a charrette. During this hands-on workshop, students were tasked with solving a complex, real-world urban design challenge: re-envisioning and expanding the San Antonio River Walk to optimize flow while creating vibrant public spaces that foster community engagement. Drawing on critical thinking and creative problem-solving, our students collaborated to develop formal design deliverables and present their proposals to industry leaders.
Beyond the design challenge, students gained invaluable career exposure by networking directly with university faculty, architecture majors, and licensed practitioners from across Texas, receiving guidance and encouragement for their future professional paths.
Congratulations to the BISD Student Delegates:
-
Boerne High School: Cadence Ostrander, Lainie Moore
-
Champion High School: Jacob Esquillin, Cody Dietert, Caleb White
We are deeply grateful for opportunities like these that bridge classroom learning with high-impact industry experience.

Lily showed true grit at Brackenridge Park GC during the Swing for the Cure tournament, competing alongside the state's best golfers.
On Friday, facing 30 mph winds, she grinded out rounds of 87 and 84, followed by a strong final round of 80 on Saturday.
Her dedication is yielding huge results,
and I am especially proud of how she carried herself on the course.

Stay connected with Skyward and Parent Square! If your child attends both CHS & BHS, you will get notices from both schools. Only you can manage your accounts; we do not have rights to change you from a distribution list.
-
Skyward Family Access - This is a great support for you. You can see parent notifications, grades, attendance, as well as, view student progress reports and report cards at any time. We ask that you keep this account up-to-date at all times, especially emergency contacts and family contacts. This is critical because students are not allowed to be check out with anyone except the family members listed in emergency contacts!
-
Parent Square - Please be aware of the following: (1) Parent Square and Student Square data is synced based on the information in Skyward Student. (2) If a parent wants to update their parent square information email or phone number then this has to be edited on the campus in Skyward and the data will then sync overnight to Parent Square. Please contact Maria Bidot @ (830) 357-2613 (3) If both parents want access then 2 different emails must be used and assigned to 2 different cell numbers.
